My Favorite Dog Breed Calendars

Dogs are amazing creatures. They are creatures that are often referred to as man’s best friend. I absolutely love them, and if you’re reading this article, I’m sure you do too! Today, I’m going to discuss some of my favorite breeds. I’ve got some calendars that I look at now and then, and I’m going to use the pictures in them to explain the breed. Let’s start with the Black Labrador Retriever calendar. Often known as black labs, these dogs have won their way into the hearts of most people. They are not huge, but they’re definitely not small either. As their name suggests, they have a nice, solid black coat that shimmers in the sun like a piece of metal. Generally happy and enthusiastic, these dogs will play with you for hours on end! Next, let’s take a look at the Bloodhound calendar. Growing up, I thought that all dogs could be called bloodhounds. That is, until recently when I purchased my Bloodhound calendar. Anyway, these are those adorable dogs you see sitting at the sheriff’s feet in most classical southern movies. They always seem to look down and drowsy, but don’t let that fool you, that’s just the coat! On the inside, they are quite the happy, uppity dog! Next, let’s take a look at the Border Collie calendar. Border Collies are very cute dogs, often known for their distinctive black and white, long hair coats. However, if you’re lucky, on the rare occasion, you may find one with a brown spot or who is entirely white and brown. All of the pictures I see in my calendar show what I believe to be one of the happiest dog breeds around. I’ve also got a picture of one that seems to be stalking prey that is absolutely adorable! Since we’re already talking about Border Collies, let’s check out their close relatives in the Border Terrier calendar.

The Border Terrier is often times brown with black spots. They have wire like hair that looks about the same in all of the pictures that my calendar has of them. They are very cute and look like a very active breed. The puppies tend to have a bit of a grey look to their coat and a fluffy appearance. Don’t let it fool you, that seems to go away as the puppies mature into full grown dogs. Or at least, that’s what my Border Terrier calendar depicts. Finally, let’s talk about a dog you may not know much about. For that, I’m going to take a look at my Borzoi calendar. The Borzoi breed is a very interesting one. These dogs have very, very slender faces that don’t seem to match their bodies. Although, their bodies are thin, I don’t think anything could naturally look as thin as the face of this breed. They can come in a wide array of colors and seem to be incredibly active and loving dogs. Well, that’s about it. Thanks for taking the time to go through the different breeds that I have in my calendars!
