How Well Do Calendars Show The Emotions Of Different Dog Breeds?

I couldn’t tell you what sparked my interest in the topic, but I can tell you that dogs have emotions. Emotions that are often times shown through facial expressions, much like in humans. So, today, I’ve decided to check out a few of my calendars and see how well the emotions of the dogs are depicted within them. So, let’s get started. I’m going to start with one of my favorite calendars, the Cairn Terrier calendar. The Cairn Terrier comes in two varieties, the black and the white. However, neither one of them is completely black or completely white. As a matter of fact, the white Cairn Terrier should be renamed to brown as far as I’m considered. Aside from their color, they are fairly mild mannered dogs with a love for fun. The Cairn Terrier calendar does a great job of depicting these emotions. Now, let’s look at the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel calendar and see if it can depict the same level of emotions. These dogs are absolutely adorable. They are generally black and white, white and brown or white, brown and black. Obviously, that all depends on the colors of the mom and dad that swim through the genetic pool to the puppy. Anyway, these dogs are generally calm, relaxed puppies. They love to be the lap dog of the house. Yet again, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel calendar does a great job of depicting the emotions in the faces of these beautiful dogs. Next, let’s take a look at the Chesapeake Bay Retriever calendar. The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a beautiful brown dog with a color that can be compared to the color found in the Chocolate Labrador Retriever. They have curly soft hair and make for a great cuddle companion. They’re also quite active dogs. They love to play fetch, tug of war and just about any other game that a dog can play.

I was hoping that the calendar would depict this fun loving breed well. When I opened it, the first picture I saw was of one of the beauties catching a frisby. So, we’re off to a good start. Other pictures in the Chesapeake Bay Retriever calendar also captured the active side in some and the cuddle and relax side in others. Great job if you ask me! Next, let’s take a look at the Chihuahua calendar to see how well it stacks up against the competition. Chihuahuas are smaller dogs that can come in a wide array of colors. More importantly, their emotions can range wildly as well. Some are nice, cuddle dogs, others are very playful, some are just downright rude! It all depends on the individual dog and his or her personality. Although the Chihuahua calendar did a great job of depicting the cuddly and playful sides of this breed, it didn’t show any negative sides. Of course we wouldn’t expect that to be found in a calendar praising the breed. So, I’ll have to say they did pretty good here too! Finally, let’s take a look at one of my favorite breeds in the Chocolate Labrador Retriever calendar. Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, often called Chocolate Labs are a fun loving breed in the younger days and a very relaxed breed as they get older. They are called “Chocolate Labs” because of the chocolate color in their coats. As far as the Chocolate Labrador Retriever calendar goes, they did a great job of depicting the emotions of this breed. There were a few fun loving, catch playing pictures and a few cuddle and relax kind of pictures. They really did a great job!
