Knowing the Yorkshire terrier, Goldendoodle, Havanese, Afghan, German wirehaired pointer



Let us first know something about the Yorkshire terrier. It is just one of those small breed of dogs that is often used to catch rats in the clothing mills. It is considered to be a part of the toy terrier section in the terrier group. It is also a very popular and friendly dog that has been part of different development of other breeds such as the Australian silky terrier. There is also the Goldendoodle that from the name itself, you will eventually know that this is a crossbreed of the golden retriever and a poodle. Just like any other cross breed dogs, the appearances and features of this dog varies from one another. They are all classified to a goldendoodle but they could display differences in coats, colors and even in sizes. They are only available in three main coat types, the straight, the wavy and the curly type which all gotten from the coats of golden retriever and poodle. The sizes range from the medium, standard and even the miniature type if the parent poodle is like that. The common colors that are accepted in this crossbreed are gold, red, cream, white and apricot. Another dog that may interest you is the Havanese. It is the national dog of Cuba and is very small in size but has a very tough built with a tail that is carried over on its back and ears that are folded and drop. Usually, their coat is long, silky, and lavish and comes from different colors. This kind of dog has a spirited personality and is very moody. It is also known for being bouncy while walking, which is one of the characteristic that it has to be distinguishable from other breeds. It is also considered to be a family friendly pet and a very loyal companion. They can easily adapt to almost any kind of environment and because they are naturally sociable dogs, they won’t appreciate being kept in some cages for too long. One of the weirdest and unusual dogs that can be ever seen is the Afghan Hounds.
It is one of the oldest breed of dog that ever exists. It can be easily distinguished with its very thick, silky but fine coat and tail that usually has a curled ring at the end. Its unique features were got from the mountains of Afghanistan and east of Iran. They are usually used to hunt gazelles and hares in the past. The typical Afghan is very dignified and reserved, but very active and aggressive while playing. Last but not the least is the German wirehaired pointer which is a griffon type of dog that is bred for sole purpose of hunting in Germany. It is a well built, medium sized type of dog that has a very distinguishable appearance. It is balanced in size and is commonly known for its weather resistant, covering wire like coat unusual facial features. It is also intelligent, active and a very trusted hunter.
