How Bloodhound, Border collie, Border terrier, and Borzoi differ from each other?

If you are interested in knowing Bloodhound, Border collie, Border terrier, and Borzoi then we are going to sliced each of the characteristics that the breed of the dog has. First let us know some things about Bloodhound, they are a kind of large scent hound that are bred for deer hunting and wild boar shooting, but now they are commonly used for hunting down humans and are bred for that sole purpose nowadays. They are known for their ability of discerning human odors even from long distances, or across the water. They have an extraordinary and strong sense of smell that is combined with a very solid and persistent tracking instinct that is surely better than the human being. They are commonly used by the police and some law enforcers around the world to trace the prisoners who had escaped, people that are missing, and children who are lost and even pets. If Bloodhounds are used for hunting, Border collie on the other hand is being used in herding livestock, especially the sheep. They are even ranked as the number one in Stanley Coren’s The Intelligence of Dogs and they usually compete on dog sports activities and mostly called to be the most intelligent in all kinds of dogs. Actually, it was even reported that there is a Border collie that could learn 1,022 words and a bunch of human acts. Despite the amazing brain that this dog has, they are just actually medium sized and are usually black tricolor. Most of the handlers of this dog believe to some superstitions that a white or almost white dog won’t be respected by a sheep thus not wanting to have one in this color. It is a little hard to breed this kind of dogs as they are needed to be in breed club standards and be specific. Well, if Bloodhound and Border collie are just some great dogs to be acknowledged, there is also the borzoi or commonly called as the Russian wolfhound.
It is just similar with the shape of a greyhound and is also a member of the family of sighthound. They also resemble some Asian breeds like Saluki, Afghan hound and Kyrgyz Taigan. They are also usually described as long haired greyhounds even though their top coat is flat and silky but with some waviness and curls. What is amazing and unique on its fur is that it thickens during winter and eventually sheds out on hot season. The smallest in the four is the Border terrier which is a rough-coated kind of dog under the terrier family. They are usually bred for hunting just like Bloodhounds, but they are for shooting fox and vermin. They are forcefully bred to have short legs that are just enough to keep up with the pace of the horses and other foxhounds. Most of the Border terrier is usually seen well groomed and sometimes with long hair depending on its handler or owner. Basically, the four dogs differ from each other, on the characteristics, usefulness, and even origins but what is important is their capability of helping humans in terms of hunting and herding.
